Tony Kaye originally joined Badfinger in 1979 on their tour promoting the Airwaves album. Despite a successful tour with sold-out dates and American Bandstand and In Concert TV appearances, due to bad management the group folded. In October 1980, Badfinger reformed in South Florida to work on a new record for Radio Records. It wasn't successful and while the band refused to tour, they were offered to do another record which didn't materialize. Tony Kaye went on to other projects as Joey & Tom put together their own versions of Badfinger.
